Queen launches Commonwealth Essay Writing Competition.

Last year has been a record-breaking year for the Commonwealth Essay Competition with over 830 schools across 55 Commonwealth countries and territories which participated. The competition received more than 11,000 entries and over 70 judges had been involved in the judging process. The standard of entries had been excellent.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Vice Patron of The Royal Commonwealth Society, held a reception for winners of The Queen's Commonwealth Essay Competition at Buckingham Palace.
